Hey Tailgaters, we know you’ve been busy arguing with strangers on the internet about why your team's second year tight end is basically the next Travis Kelce. But while you’ve been doing that, our dev team has been locked in the lab cooking up some serious app upgrades.
We’re rolling out two brand-new features designed to make your Tailgate experience sleeker, smarter, and way more colorful: Team-Colored Word Clouds and Integrated Player News!
Here’s the breakdown of what’s hitting your app 👇

Ever wanted to know exactly what your fellow fans are buzzing about without having to brave the toxic wasteland of sports social media? Enter Team-Colored Word Clouds (accessible via the new "This week's cloud" button).
We’re giving you a visual snapshot of your team's highest projected players, your opponent's highest projected players, and hashtags driving the conversation surrounding your squad. But because we're Tailgate, we couldn't just give you a boring, generic word cloud.
The Twist: These bad boys are fully dipped in your team's official colors. Repping #DaBears? Prepare for a beautiful sea of navy and orange. #ChiefsKingdom? You'll see tribal red and black, and so on.
Why it matters: It’s like a visual mood ring for your fandom. At a single glance, you can see which players are positioned to dominate, what matchups are looming, and what the collective fanbase is hyped about before you lock in your roster.
These clouds are easily shareable right from the app and look great on IG or X without a filter, unlike the photos of your ex-girlfriend thirst-trapping.
It really sucks when you put the time in to set your gameday lineup, walk away to fire up the grill, then come back to find out your star player is suddenly a last-minute scratch.
Or worse, making headlines for some wild off-field drama like getting arrested and having to rehab a knee injury from the clink.. eh em Rashee Rice.
Say goodbye to frantically switching between twenty different browser tabs. We’ve integrated a Team News Feed directly under your lineup screen.
Curated Headlines: Get a clean, chronological feed of breaking stories pulled from heavy hitters like ESPN and SI.com tailored specifically to your team.
The Deep Dive: Tap on any headline to open a beautiful, custom pop-up detail card. You'll get a high-res player headshot, a quick summary of what's going down (like who is projected to start at wide receiver ahead of training camp), and a direct link to read the full article if you want the gritty details.
Why it matters: No more getting blindsided. You get all the context you need to make elite, roster-saving decisions without ever leaving the app.
Being a die-hard fan is a full-time job, but your fantasy app shouldn't make it feel like one.
Update your Tailgate Fantasy Sports app right now, check out your team's latest word cloud, scan the news feed to make sure your guys are cleared for takeoff, and get those lineups set.
As always, thank you for your support and please share our fandom-based fantasy football game with your friends, family, and co-workers.
Don't forget to start your league or join a public league here
We appreciate you! 🍻
